摘要:theeffectofaverageparticlesizesonbasicmacroscopicpropertiesandheattransferperformanceofα-sic/waternanofluidswasinvestigated.theaverageparticlesizes,calculatedfromthespecificsurfaceareaofnanoparticles,werevariedfrom16to90nm.nanofluidswithlargerparticlesofthesamematerialandvolumeconcentrationprovidehigherthermalconductivityandlowerviscosityincreasesthanthosewithsmallerparticlesbecauseofthesmallersolid/liquidinterfacialareaoflargerparticles.itwasalsodemonstratedthattheviscosityofwater-basednanofluidscanbesignificantlydecreasedbyphofthesuspensionindependentlyfromthethermalconductivity.heattransfercoefficientsweremeasuredandcomparedtotheperformanceofbasefluidsaswellastonanofluidsreportedintheliterature.criteriaforevaluationoftheheattransferperformanceofnanofluidsarediscussedandoptimumdirectionsinnanofluiddevelopmentaresuggested.
